2 Bedroom Cabin in Shreveport

Red River Lodge is perched 30' above the Red River shoreline. 3 sets of large French doors offer amazing river views! Both bedrooms have French doors and a balcony as well. The large screened porch has plenty of seating & a smart tv. Enjoy the bar overlooking the river! The living room has a large sectional, 55" Smart TV, long dining table with benches, and portable Ping-Pong! NO RIVER ACCESS. The walk down is steep, rocky, and dangerous. It is fenced off.
We live a few miles away and are available through text or phone call.
Red river lodge is about 2 miles from Bally’s Casino, Sci-Port, & the Aquarium. We are right over the Texas Street bridge from Bossier City and The Boardwalk Shopps with Bass Pro, and not far from Margaritaville Casino with the famous Drago's Restaurant!
Lodge guests have access to the full back deck, Carriage house guests have their own deck and may walk onto the lodge deck Bc there’s no permanent obstruction to block people. If you prefer them not accessing it during your stay, let me know and I will pass that on. It’s rare for both rentals to be booked at the same time.
There are 3 rentals on this property if you have a larger group. Red River Carriage House & Red River Bayou Boat are also on AirBnB. The Carriage House is right next to the Lodge & appears attached but it’s a separate rental with its own entrance. Red River Bayou Boat is in the front yard with its own fence around it. We took out some boards from the original deck to rebuild, and put up a fence so no one can access the old part until it’s ready. There is not water access on this property Bc it sits 30’ above the river & the steep Rocky climb down is not advised. No swimming in the Red River Bc of the strong current & 🐊! Enjoy the view from inside the house or the screened porch & deck! You’ll
likely see several private planes fly over the river Bc the private airport is right down the road. Keep your eye out for eagles as well!
The property is on a short street with about 10 houses, and, as with many waterfront properties, there are a mix of different types of homes.
Like many waterside neighborhoods, the street is a mix of different types of homes. There’s a big nice house on one side of us, with a beautiful park-like yard, & a doublewide on the other side. My handyman lives directly across the street in an RV. Please be aware this property can sleep 9 but it is STILL A 2 bedroom, 2 bath lodge. Here is how it can sleep 9: 2 queen beds, 4 rolling, memory foam cots, and one small ottoman that makes into a small bed for a small adult or child. The rolling cots can be set up in the bedrooms or moved to the living room.

Summary: I chose this waterfront property on short notice due to a concert we were attending in the area. The cabin is a short distance from most places you want go get to locally, which was a bonus. The waterfront views are nice with a large screen in porch and a bar and deck outside. The inside is nice and there are two rooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. You'll find that there is a dishwasher, utensils, everything you need to cook and stay comfortable while you are there. The bathrooms are also really nice and the big shower downstairs was definitely a bonus. We didn't stay in the cabin much as there was so much to do and see in the area. This place is great for a short stay, but I do wish we could have stayed a little longer. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for a place to stay locally with a short drive to local businesses! The property owner was very good with communication and checked in during our stay, but we didn't need anything. Thank you!

Summary: We came to Shreveport for a wedding and had the pleasure of staying in this Lodge. The decor and style of the home makes you feel like you are staying in the mountains, while the porch and river scenery make you feel like you’re in the bayou. It was great stay! Complete with a full kitchen, 2 full baths, 2 queen beds and 3 cots, this was a great place for my group of 8 to stay. We would recommend this to anyone traveling to the Shreveport area!

Summary: The house was really nice with great views of the river! Jennifer was super nice and attentive with our needs as well as offering local recommendations for food and activities. Not to mention it’s a very short drive to everything you would need in Shreveport, yet feel really secluded away from people. Would definitely stay here again!

Summary: The interior of the property was nice. They were in the middle of an exterior remodel so there was some expected eye sores with that. There were some cosmetic issues like the front door sticking and being difficult to lock, and the upstairs bathroom door not being installed properly. The washer and dryer need to be replaced. The neighborhood is not the best. There are some updates that need to happen, but overall the property is a good place to stay.
